    SKOPJE: The Macedonian/Greek coproduction The Secret Ingredient, the debut feature by Gjorce Stavreski, has been sold to Asia. The Pay TV, VOD and SVOD rights were sold to CinemaWorld Asia for the next two years.

    It is a multimedia entertainment company which launched the first and only pan–Asia premium international movie service offering box-office hits, critics’ favorites and award-winning movies from around the world. CinemaWorld HD and CinemaWorld On-Demand is incorporated and headquartered in Singapore and available in 24 territories in Asia: Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Macau, Mongolia, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Palau, Maldives, India, Bangladesh and South Korea.

    The Secret Ingredient tells the story of a train mechanic who, after using stolen marijuana to make a cake for his father to relieve his cancer pain, finds himself cornered by criminals who want their drugs back and nosey neighbors who want the recipe for the “healing” cake.

    Since the premiere in November 2017, the film has participated in 16 film festivals and won seven international awards including the audience award at the 2017 Thessaloniki Film Festival and the special award for script at the Mediterranean Film Festival in Brussels.

    The Secret Ingredient is a Macedonian/Greek coproduction produced by Fragment Film in coproduction with GRAAL S.A., and in association with the Macedonian Film Agency, the Greek Film Centre and SEE Cinema Network. The Paris-based WIDE is handling the sales.
