Malta Reaches Out at MIPCOM 2013 Featured

MALTA: Continuing its push to build a growing slate of international productions, the Malta Film Commission www.mfc.com.mt will be talking up its status as a film-friendly Mediteranean location as the MIPCOM global entertainment content market 7-10 October. Under the slogan "Malta: One Location Fits All," commissioner Peter Busuttil will be meeting with potential producers and production houses looking for different locations, water tank facilities and financial incentives.

Malta recently announced a further stimulus to the financial incentives, raising them from 23% to a maximum 25% subject to state aid approval when films show Malta as itself.

A presence at MIPCOM, which this year brings together over 13,000 participants and 1,700 exhibitors and features the Media Mastermind keynote series, world premiere screenings, conferences, matchmaking and networking events, is considered increasingly critical to building a name as an international location destination.
