PRODUCTION: TVN Shooting Julia in Krakow

    KRAKOW: Polish private broadcaster TVN has started production on Julia, a new daytime dramatic series about a runaway bride starting her life over. The series will premiere in January 2012.

    TVN plans 195 episodes, with filming to continue until October 2012.

    The leading character Julia is a young woman who suddenly decides to call off her wedding and start here life over in Krakow. She enters a world of rich and successful people who entangle her in their lives filled with lies and intrigues. Lost at first, Julia finds her independence and becomes the change needed in her rotten surroundings.

    TVN ( www.tvn.pl) told FNE that the series will replace Straight In The Heart, a TVN daytime drama produced in 2010 that failed to attract Polish viewers.

    The script for Julia is a joint effort from a screen-writing team including Ilona Łesyk-Moczulska, Magdalena Strzałkowska, Michał Zasowski, Michał Godzic, Patrycja Nowak and Mirosław Golański. The series also has a directing team with Arkadiusz Luboń as the format director assisted by Sławomir Pstrong, Marcin Solarz and Adrian Kręciszewski. The cinematographer is Michał Nowakowski, praised for his worked on several television series and cinema titles including Snow White and Russian Red directed by Xawery Żuławski and Magic Tree directed by Andrej Maleszka. The producer of the series is Krystyna Lasoń and the executive producer is Barbara Golańska.

    The role of Julia is played by Julia Rosnowska, making her debut as the lead in a production. The cast includes Krystian Wieczorek, Łukasz Lewandowski and Bartosz Obuchowicz.
