Three Polish world premiers set for Toronto IFF

    WARSAW: The Toronto International Film Festival will present the world premieres of three Polish films: Baby Blues by Katarzyna Rosłaniec, Imagine by Andrzej Jakimowski, and the Polish coproduction Igor and the Cranes' Journey by Evgeny Ruman.

     

    Baby Blues (www.zentropa.dk) and Imagine (www.zair.eu) will screen in the Contemporary World Cinema section.  Igor and the Cranes' Journey, a Polish-German-Israeli coproduction funded by the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl), will be shown in the TIFF Kids section. Baby Blues is produced by Zentropa Polska, the Danish company's Polish production unit.  The film is about teenage mothers stars Magdalena Berus, Katarzyna Figura, Magdalena Boczarska, and Renata Dancewicz. Imagine, a Polish-British-French-Portugese coproduction about a young instructor working in an institute for the blind, stars Alexandra Maria Lara, Edward Hogg, David Atrakchi, and Melchior Beslon.
