The documentary, Stankiewicz’s third, is the story of a defiant musician, who was compared to Tom Waits and Nick Cave. Różycki’s story is told by his co-workers and friends.
The shooting took place during Różycki’s struggle with cancer. The camera followed him for six months. Różycki passed away in August 2012. He was 36 years old at that time.
The film is coproduced by AURUM FILM (www.aurumfilm.pl) and OTO Agencja Producencka (www.otoagencja.pl). The project received a grant from Lublin Regional Film Fund. The total budget is 25,000 EUR.
La la la a Marcin Różycki Story is scheduled to premiere on 23 October 2012.
