Cinema City Records Admissions Growth

    WARSAW: Cinema City, the leading exhibitor in Central Europe, announced a 3 percent growth in admissions in 2013.

    The company posted total admissions of 37.4 million for 2013, compared with 36.3 million admissions in 2012.

    The largest growth was registered in Bulgaria, where admissions rose 16 percent, to 2.036 million, followed by Romania with a 15 percent rise in admissions to 5.13 million admissions.

    Hungary posted growth of 6 percent, to 7.48 million admissions and Slovak admissions grew slightly to 1.2 million.  Admissions fell by some 10 percent in Poland, to 12.2 million, and also fell slightly in the Czech Republic to 3.76 million.

    Cinema City operates cinemas in six Central European countries and in Israel.
