Ida by Paweł PawlikowskiLondon-based distributor Artificial Eye picked up UK rights to the Polish drama Ida (Opus Film) directed by Pawel Pawlikowski.
Ida, the story of a young woman on the cusp of becoming a nun who discovers that she is Jewish, has won a trophy-shelf full of awards since its world premiere at the Toronto IFF in 2013. It won the FIPRESCI Award and the Best Film prize at the London film festival.
Pawlikowski’s upcoming projects include the Polish-filmed and Polish-language Sister of Mercy.
