    WARSAW: A spy thriller from Władysław Pasikowski is set to be the first film hitting a million in Polish admissions for 2014, surpassing big international titles.

    The film's distributor, ITI Cinema, informed FNE that Jack Strong has been seen by 991,000 viewers since the picture premiered in Poland on February. During the first weekend of March tickets his 59,091, setting a pace that could lead to breaking box office records.

    Distributors are hoping to hit the new high by the end of March. The thriller has also sparked great interest abroad and started is run in the UK and Ireland on 14 February.

    The film is an action-packed production inspired by the life of Colonel Ryszard Kukliński, who acted as a spy for CIA during the Cold War. It was produced by produced by Scorpio Studio and coproduced by ITI Cinema and Orange Polska with co-financing from the Polish Film Institute.
