PRODUCTION: Valley of the Gods with John Malkovich Begins Filming in Poland

    WROCLAW: Shooting on the Polish/US fantasy film Valley of the Gods starring John Malkovich and directed by Lech Majewski begins on 18 May 2016 in Wroclaw.

    The cast includes Josh Hartnett, Charlotte Rampling, Keir Dullea and John Rhys-Davies. Filming will also take place in Italy and the US.

    The script written by Majewski mixes reality with the world of myths and legends inspired by Indian tribal legends about the ancient hero Ullikummin. Filip Jan Rymsza is producing for Royal Road Entertainment together with Majewski for Angelus Silesius in coproduction with Carla Rosen-Vacher for Royal Road Entertainment.

    The budget is 3.7 m EUR / 16.5 m PLN with 800,000 EUR / 3.5 m PLN  from the Polish Film Institute. The Luxembourg branch of the Los Angeles-based Royal Road Entertainment is also supporting the production.

    The premiere is set for the end of 2016.
