WARSAW: Leading Polish VOD service from Onet.pl launched O!Dokument, a new platform offering high quality Polish documentaries awarded at international film festivals. The project launched on 22 February 2017 is supported by the Polish Film Institute.

"Every year Polish filmmakers create excellent long and short documentaries. They are showcased and awarded at festivals both in Poland and abroad. Unfortunately, the access to them is limited. We wanted to change that, "said Renata Pawłowska-Pyra, Head Of Film Culture Popularisation and Promotion at the Polish Film Institute.

The O!Dokument platform launched in Poland on 22 February 2017 and currently offers over 30 titles including ones that were shortlisted for Academy Awards Oscars in recent years, such as You Don't Know How Much I Love You (Łoziński Prodcutions) by Paweł Łoziński, Close Ties (Munk Studio) by Zofia Kowalewska, Starting Point (Munk Studio) by Michał Szcześniak and many more.

The project will last until February 2018 with new titles added every Wednesday. "Thanks to the O!Dokument initiative on VoD.pl Polish documentary films have a chance to reach viewers all over Poland. For the first time Polish documentary cinema will be available online on such a broad scale", said Marcin Hajek, Programming Director for Vod.pl.

Vod.pl is currently the leading legal VOD service in Poland with an average 4.4 m unique users per month.
