GRANTS: Polish Film Institute Gives 18 M PLN for Feature Films

    WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute chose nine new feature film productions to support and gave development funds to six projects in the first funding session of 2017, including new projects from Dariusz Jabłoński, Jan Jakub Kolski and Wojciech Smarzowski.

    The Polish Film Institute assigned a total of 18 m PLN / 4.2 m EUR for production funding in the first batch of funding for 2017. The biggest grants of 2.5 m PLN / 587,163 EUR each went to new films from Marcin Krzyształowicz, entitled Pan T., produced by Scorpion Arte, and Jan Jakub Kolski, entitled Ułaskawienie, produced by Wytwórnia Doświadczalna.

    Six new project received a total of 900,000 PLN of development funding, with Saturn, a new film from Wojciech Marczewski, produced by Prasa i Film, getting the largest grant of 200,000 PLN
