Loving Vincent Gets BAFTA Nomination

    WARSAW: The Polish/British animated film Loving Vincent directed by Dorota Kobiela and Britain’s Hugh Welchman was nominated for the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) awards in the best animated film category.

    The other films nominated in this category are Coco by Lee Unkrich and My Life as a Zucchini by Claude Barras. The winners of the BAFTA awards will be announced on 18 February 2018. Loving Vincent is also in the race for an Academy Award.

    Loving Vincent was awarded European Animated Feature Film 2017 at the 30th European Film Awards in Berlin and was also nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Motion Picture – Animated category.

    The Polish/UK coproduction is one of the most successful Polish films made in 2017, with tremendous results in cinemas worldwide. It is having very good results especially in China (where it cashed in 1.04 m USD in its first day), Colombia, South Korea, Italy and also in the US and Canada.

    This fully painted animation feature about Van Gogh was produced by BreakThru Films and Trademark Films. Cinema Management Group is handling the sales.
