The romantic comedy follows Ania and Tomek, who fall in love thanks to a dating application. The sequel explores the trouble that falls on their relationship, when Anna wants her celebrity boyfriend to settle down. Sam Akina co-wrote the script together with Jules Jones, and the all-star cast includes Maciej Stuhr, Agnieszka Więdłocha, Piotr Głowacki, Weronika Książkiewicz, Tomasz Karolak, Joanna Jarmołowicz and Danuta Stenka.

The producers of the film are Radosław Drabik of Gigant Films and Michał Chaciński. The final budget has not yet been announced.
Planet Single was released in Poland by Kino Świat on 5 February 2016 and became the second most watched Polish film in 2016 with over 1.9 m admissions.
