    WARSAW: Polish director Filip Bajon is putting the finishing touches on his major costume drama The Butler, set to premiere in September 2018.

    The Butler / Kamerdyner is a love story spanning the years 1900-1945, set against the background of the tumultuous history of the Kashubian region and the von Krauss family.

    The shoot for The Butler took over 2 years, starting in September 2015 and wrapping up in April 2018. The crew worked in several locations including Gdańsk, Hel, Puck, Piaśnica, Wejherowo, Karwia, Mazuria and Warsaw.

    The script was co-written by Mirosław Piepka, Michał S. Prusk and Marek Klat. The DoP was Łukasz Gutt. The cast of popular Polish actors includes Janusz Gajos, Anna Radwan, Adam Woronowicz, Sebastian Fabijański, Marianna Zydek, Borys Szyc, Daniel Olbrychski, Łukasz Simlat, Kamilla Baar-Kochańska, Marcel Sabat and Sławomir Orzechowski.

    The film is produced by Filmicon with a budget of 3.4 m EUR / 15 m PLN and is supported by the Polish Film Institute and the Gdynia Film Fund.

    The Butler will open in Polish cinemas on 21 September 2018 distributed by NEXT FILM.
