WARSAW: Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s second feature film Fugue has been sold by Alpha Violet to the Czech Republic, Lithuania, China, Denmark, Canada and other territories.
Fugue screened in the Another View section of the Karlovy Vary IFF after its world premiere in Cannes’ Semaine de la Critique section. This psychological drama following a woman who lost her memory was inspired by real events. The main character is played by Gabriela Muskała, who also penned the script.
The film is a Polish/Czech/Swedish coproduction produced by MD4, Axman Production and Common Ground Pictures in coproduction with Odra-Film, Mazowiecki i Warszawski Fundusz Filmowy, Magic Lab and Film i Väst. It was supported by the Polish Film Institute and the Czech Film Center.
