By

WARSAW: The Polish Film Institute started financing micro-budget projects and distributed 970,634 EUR / 4,165,000 PLN to seven projects in the first grant session.

Each of the seven feature projects will receive 138,690 EUR / 595,000 PLN.

This is the first batch of funding that the Institute assigned as part of a new grant category introduced at the end of 2018, supporting micro-budget productions directed by film school graduates and other debut filmmakers.

The projects will be produced in cooperation with a national TV broadcaster, which will act as a coproducer with rights to the film.
