WARSAW: The Irish/Polish coproduction Wolf by Nathalie Biancheri and starring George MacKay and Lily-Rose Depp will be released by Focus Features in the USA on 3 December 2021. The film was coproduced by Mariusz Włodarski and Agnieszka Wasiak through Lava Films, and it was supported by the Polish Film Institute.

In the script penned by Nathalie Biancheri, Jacob believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body. He arrives at a clinic nicknamed the zoo by the locals, which specialises in curing his disorder, known as species dysphoria. It is populated mostly with teenagers, kids that believe they are actually squirrels, tigers, pandas etc. In this cacophony of squawking and meowing, the patients undergo a number of different 'repressive' therapies. Unlike his teenage peers Jacob gets further and further from being ‘cured’.

Polish cinematographer Michal Dymek is lensing and Polish composer Stefan Wesołowski signs the original music.

The cast includes Senan Jennings, Darragh Shannon, Elisa Fionuir, Lola Petticrew, Amy Macken, Fionn O'Shea and Paddy Considine.

The film is produced by Feline Films Ltd, and it is also supported by Screen Ireland and Eurimages. Shooting took place in 2020.

Universal Pictures International will distribute the film outside the USA.
