The film is directed by Dorota Kędzierzawska and is her fourth film to be screened at the festival following Devils, Devils (1991), Crows (1994) and I Am (2005).

The director also wrote the screenplay for the film, which paints a gentle portrait of the owner of a derelict mansion who mixes happy memories of waltzing to Strauss in prewar Poland with the harsher realities of a communist regime.

The film was produced by Kid Film Arthur Reinhart (www.kidfilm.pl) and co-produced by Polish Television - Film Agency with co-financing from the Polish Film Institute.
