Production: Polish prison break story in pre-production

    Trick, a new Polish crime feature from director Jan Hryniak, moves into production in May 2009.

    Trick is the story of two intellectuals, a talented forger and an elderly "professor," who make an attempt to brake out of prison and use their fake money to ransom a deputy kidnapped in Afghanistan.

    The production company is Aromer S.C. (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) and the title will be distributed by Kino Świat (www.kinoswiat.pl).

    "The shoot will start on the 5th of May, more details will be revealed once we start," Romy Stępniewska from Aromer S.C told FNE. "The budget is PLN 4.6 million ( €1.1. million)," she adds. Trick is funded by the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl) with 2.3 million PLN (€540,000). This production features an all-star cast including Janusz Gajos and Piotr Adamczyk in leading parts and the popular Polish rock band Myslovitz recording the music score.
