By

Polish ITI Cinema (www.iticinema.com.pl) has closed a deal for the Norwegian film UPPERDOG directed by Sara Johnsen for the polish market. ITI Group, is the owner of multiplex Multikino S.A. The ITI Cinema deal assured the Polish rights for the Norwegian box office success just before it´s EFM market screenings.

Upper Dog was a already a great success in the Norwegian market: 115 000 admissions, first place DVD Rental, second place DVD Sale (only topped by Disney's UP). The Norwegian drama was awarded as best film 2009 by the Norwegian cinema association.

"We are really happy to have in our line-up this wise and disarmingly funny film in which Sara Johnsen uses topical themes to describe complicated relations between characters. The entire cast is perfectly matched and especially young Shooting Star Agnieszka Grochowska gives a daring performance. This is just a kind of cinema that we always love to present to our audience." - Dariusz Maczka at ITI Cinema, Polish distributor of UPPERDOG.

UPPERDOG tells the story of the half-siblings Axel and Yanne, who were adopted to Norway as young children, without knowing the other's fate: Axel to material wealth on Oslo's west side, she to an average family on the east side of town.
