Also addressing the audience was the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski, who said, "2009 was a phenomenal year for Polish culture overall and especially for film. I do not envy the members of the Academy who had an especially hard choice this year. We should all be proud that we have so much great activity in Polish culture."

During the event Holland was reelected President of the Polish Film Academy for her second term. "I strongly hope that during the next two years we will establish an exchange of ideas between the Polish filmmakers and that our younger colleagues will be active in bringing them to life," Holland said at her reinstatement.

Also attending was Agnieszka Odorowicz, Director of the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl) which co-financed the Polish Film Awards along with the MEDIA Desk Poland (www.mediadeskpoland.eu).
