The film will also screen in the Cannes film market and in the national Polish film festival in Gdynia (www.fpff.pl ), taking place May 24-29. The film has also been invited to the Mannheim-Heidelberg festival of young filmmakers.
The domestic release is scheduled for September.
Mother Teresa of Cats was produced by Slowomir Rogowski for Zespół Filmowy Rozwój (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). It participated in CentEast (www.centeast.org ) in Warsaw in 2009.
The script, also by Sala, is based on the true story of a young man's murder of his mother.
