PRODUCTION: Integration Trip in Postproduction

By Katarzyna Grynienko

Polish director Przemysław Angerman is in postproduction with Integration Trip, a light comedy about the life of corporate employees. Shooting took place 13 - 27 October 2010 in Rawa Mazowiecka. The comedy is produced by Filmcontract Ltd (www.filmcontract.pl) in co-operation with Telekomunikacja Polska (www.tp.pl). The budget is 4.4 million PLN (EEUR 1.1 million), with 1.5 million PLN funding from the Polish Film Institute (www.pisf.pl).

Angerman is a film and television director known for the drama Destined For Blues, a story of musician Ryszard "Rysiek" Reidel, the leader of the legendary Polish rock blues band Dżem. Integration Trip is a major change in genre for the director, following the adventures of big corporation employees on a mandatory company retreat. The production is an example of the growing number of entertaining, commercial films produced locally in Poland in the last five years. This increase in Polish comedies and romantic films is one of the important factors in the booming box office for Polish films since 2007.

The cast includes popular young Polish actors Katarzyna Glinka, Tomasz Karolak and Tomasz Kot accompanied by accomplished stars of Polish cinema Jan Frycz and Katarzyna Figura. The cinematographer is Sławomir Orzechowski.

The comedy will premiere in Poland in March 2011.
