Art of the Doc Hosts Media Conferences

    WARSAW: Art of the Doc Festival (www.sztukadokumentu.pl) is sponsoring a series of discussions and workshops focusing on the Visegrad countries, running through 2 December 2010.

    The Art of the Document - Meet the Czechs takes place on 30 Nov 2010 at 6 pm, in the Rejs room at the Kultura cinema, with a discussion about the art of the document in the Czech Republic and in Poland.

    How Much Freedom Do We Have in Privacy?, a look at privacy, intimacy, and democracy takes place on 1 December at 7 pm in the Museum of Modern Art.

    Presenting new Internet documentary forms: webdocs takes place on 2 December at 8 pm, at Kultura Cinema, moderated by Marcin Latałło. Participants include Serge Gordey, director, producer, precursor of webdocs, associated with ARTE TV channel, and Henri Herré. French director, lecturer at Harvard Film Study Center, who will also present the innovative form of webdocs and a documentary film "Miami Havana".

    Real and Virtual Faces of Freedom, a discussion on the concept of freedon, takes place 2 December from 9.00 am - 6.00 pm, at Warsaw University. Partners of the conference include Film New Europe.
