Polish films at Imperial War Museum

By

The Imperial War Museum in London has opened a second exhibition of Polish firms and documentaries as part of a unique program called "Polish Paths to Freedom." The current segment focuses on the period from the beginning of the Stalinist period to the workers' revolt on the Baltic coast in 1970.

The program includes Andrzej Wajda's Man of Marble, Wojciech Marczewski's Shivers, Janusz Zaorski's Mother of Kings, and Polish documentaries. The program also features films from the Imperial War Museum archives made by the BBC, ITN and Channel Four.

The Imperial War Museum is jointly sponsoring the event with the Polish History Museum in Warsaw. The exhibition closes May 20.
