Artcore finds niche success in film promotion

By Katarzyna Grynienko

Six-month-old Artcore landed its first major Polish title for promotion, Louise's Garden.

Artcore (www.artcore.pl), founded by recent film school grad Artur Wyrzykowski in November 2007, is the first to focus exclusively on promoting films for distribution companies. The Film Polski (www.filmpolski.pl.com) title is its first major success.

Wyrzykowski first launched the original website www.helpmetomakeafilm.net to solicit production funds via internet. He raised over €10,000 for distribution and film festival costs for his short film. His team now specialized in producing movie trailers, posters and other materials for distribution companies. "You name it, we do it all. We create every single promotional material, from trailer to web banner," Wyrzykowski told FNE. "We also distribute Polish short films from young directors, trying to help them find a way to the big screen. We produce music videos and commercials."
