Polish commercial broadcaster TVN reported consolidated net revenue increase of 22% in its first quarter results.

TVN's (www.TVN.pl) first quarter revenue was PLN402 million (€119 million), with a net profit increase of 35%, to €18.6 million.

Almost 20% of net revenue growth was due to the purchase of Mango Media in May 2007. Other areas which contributed to growth included a 52% increase in cable and satellite subscription fees for operators, a 53% increase in sponsorship revenues, and teleshopping revenues.

At the same time, national audience share rose by1%, from 21.1% to 22.2%. In a press statement, CEO Piotr Walter commented on continued growth among viewers, saying, "Our TVN channel recorded 29.6% audience share in prime time in its target group in March, a level not seen since November 2007."
