New Horizon Picks Up Turin Horse

    WARSAW: Polish distribution company New Horizons Association (www.enh.pl) has picked up Hungarian director Bela Tarr's last film The Turin Horse for theatrical and DVD distribution. The film will debut at the 11. ERA New Horizons film festival (21-31 July 2011), which New Horizons Association organizes.

    New Horizons has also acquired Wim Wenders' Pina which will similarly debut at the Era New Horizons IFF.

    Tarr, who won the Silver Bear and the FIPRESCI award at the 2011 Berlinale, has been a perrinial favorite at Era New Horizons IFF, with a major retrospective of his works taking place during the fourth edition of the festival.

    "We always want to introduce the most interesting auteurs to the Polish audience. Bela Tarr is such director. I'm confident that the audience will be delighted with Turin Horse," said Roman Gutek, the Festival Director.

    New Horizons Association holds all Polish rights for the titles including DVD and TV.

    Era New Horizons International Film Festival, est. 2001, takes place in Wroclaw, Poland.
