The Wisla Polish Film Festival (www.festiwalwisla.pl). running through 5 May 2011, is marking the 85th birthday of director Andrzej Wajda with screenings of Everything for Sale and The Maids of Wilka. The festival also feature a competetion of Polish films from 2010.
In addition, the festival remembers Krzysztof Kieslowski on the 15th anniversary of his death with a tribute consisting of A Short Film About Love and A Short Film About Killing from his "Decalogue" series.
New Polish films screening at the festival, taking place in Moscow, include
"Mother Theresa of Cats" by Pawel Sala, A Simple Love Story by Arkadiusz Jakubiak, and The Rose by Jan Kidawa Blonski.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
