Cinema City Plans Lubin Multiples

    Exhibitor Cinema City announced it has signed a lease agreement for a 10-screen multiplex at the Gala mall in Lubin, Poland. The cinema is expected to open in 2015. Cinema City opened its first Lubin multiplex in 2007.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) operates 30 multiplexes in Poland with a total 331 screens, and five Orange IMAX(R) theatres. Cinema City has lease agreements for additional five multiplexes in Poland with close to 60 screens in: Toruń, Kielce, Łódź, Gdańsk and Lublin. The company plans to open the cinema in Toruń later in 2011.

    Poland is Cinema City's largest market, where it operates 46% of all its screens, which brought in 51% of the company's 2010 revenues, with 51 million admissions.

    Cinema City International is the largest multiplex cinema operator in Central & Eastern Europe and in Israel. The Company operates 94 multiplexes with 887 screens, in 7 countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovakia and Israel). There are 35 more multiplexes under development, with approximately 360 new screens. In addition, Cinema City is actively involved in cinema related advertising and film distribution.
