FilmBox Launches Polish Music Channel

    WARSAW: Poland's FilmBox group launches Kino Polska Muzyka, the first music-film TV channel in Poland, on 16 May 2011. It joins the niche family of channels FilmBox operates in Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Spain.

    The new channel will show vintage and current videoclips, concert recordings, archive materials, documentaries, biography movies, songs from bedtime shows, and film series based upon music themes, broadcasting 23 hours per day.

    The station will be available on cable networks, but Kino Polska TV S.A. plans to expand to satellite platforms as well.

The company's portfolio includes the FilmBox group (FilmBox, FilmBox Extra, FilmBox HD and FilmBox Family) and Telewizja Kino Polska, with the second place in TV ratings in 2010. These channels are available for all digital platforms and major cable providers in Poland. It is also the main shareholder of the long-established portal about films in Poland - Stopklatka.pl.
