Austria Funds eight new feature film productions

VIENNA: The Austrian Film Institute has announced funding of 3.16m Euros for 45 new projects including just over 2m Euros for eight new feature film projects.

Among the feature films to receive funding is Fever directed by Elfi Mikiesh a new project by Vienna based Amour Fou (www.amourfou.at) that will be coproduced by German company Filmgalerie 451. Dor Film (www.dor-film.at) received funding for Zweisitzrakete to be directed by Hans Hofer and Sigma Filmproduktion (www.sigmafilm.at) has received backing for Ernst Gossner’s new film Monte Piano which will lense in Italy. Turkish director Umut Dag’s new film Kuma produced by Wega Film (www.wega-film.at) about a Turkish woman in Vienna also received support from the fund.
