Root Joins HBO CE as Vice President

    BUDAPEST:HBO Central Europe has appointed Antony Root as Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Production at HBO Central Europe, reporting to Chief Executive Linda Jensen. He will be responsible for drama, documentary and entertainment programming produced by HBO Central Europe.

    Root has held senior management posts at leading industry organisations in both Europe and the U.S., including SVP of European Production at Sony Pictures Television and President of Granada Entertainment USA, well as positions at Granada TV, Thames Television and Working Title Television.

    Linda Jensen, CEO of HBO Central Europe, said in a statement," I am delighted to welcome Antony Root to HBO Central Europe, his skills and long experience of international production will be invaluable as we continue to invest in programming for our region."

    HBO Central Europe (www.hbo-centraleurope.com) broadcasts to fourteen countries in eastern and central Europe includingHungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Croatia.
