    Six films from Central Europe have been nominated for the European Films Academy’s (www.europeanfilmacademy.org) Short Film 2012 award.

    The nominated short films include the following films from Central European territories:

    SUPERMAN, SPIDERMAN SAU BATMAN (Superman, Spiderman or Batman) 
    directed by Tudor Giurgiu, Romania

    MITEN MARJOJA POIMITAAN (How to Pick Berries) 
    directed by Elina Talvensaari, Finland

    IM FREIEN (In the Open) 
    directed by Albert Sackl, Austria

    CSICSKA (Beast) 
    directed by Attila Till, Hungary

    VILLA ANTROPOFF 
    directed by Vladimir Leschiov & Kaspar Jancis, Latvia/Estonia

    SESSIZ / BÉ DENG (Silent) 
    directed by L. Rezan Yeşilbaş, Turkey

    The short film prize is organised by the European Film Academy in co-operation with competitive short film festivals throughout Europe. The nominated films will be presented to more than 2,700 members of the European Film Academy who will select the winning film.

    The European Film Academy Short Film 2012 which will be presented at the 25th European Film Awards Ceremony on 1 December in Malta.
