    VENICE: One of the new partners of Venice Days this year at the Biennale Film Festival was Toscana Resort Castelfalfi.

    During the exclusive partners dinner for the Lux Prix Castelfalfi announced the awards of a contest for a free weekend at the Castelfalfi Resort

    This year the winners were actor and producer Riccardo Scamarcio, pictured with Giorgio Gosetti, director of Venice Days and Stefan Neuhaus, CEO Tenuta di Castelfalfi and Doris Pack, Doris Pack President of the cultural Commission of the European Parliament.

    This year at the Giornate degli Autori, enjoyed the best Tuscan wine thanks to the collaboration with the Toscana Resort Castelfalfi, on the tables of the Villa degli Autori.

    There was a true chance to experience the ancient culture, truly Italian. Perfectly suitable to match with the colors of the Laguna and the festive vitality of the Giornate, the most lively and independent of the initiative taking place during the oldest and most prestigious film festival worldwide.

    “Thanks to this happy match –says Giorgio Gosetti, general director of the Giornate – we are strengthening our brand identity of being Italian and International at the same time; the fruits of the land, from wine to olive oil, are all symbols of that cultural conviviality that sits at the base of our initiative”.

    Toscana Resort Castelfalfi brought to the Villa degli Autori:

    CHIANTI DOCG 2011.
    Produced from the varieties Sangiovese (85%) and Merlot (15%). Aging in stainless steel tanks for 8 months in the bottle for at least 4 months. °. It has a ruby red color with violet hues and an aroma of red fruit with hints of spice in the background. Fresh and rich taste with soft tannins. Alcohol 13% Vol. Perfect served with the Mediterrenean cuisine, mainly with Tusca none. To be served at 16-18°C.

    ROSSO TOSCANO IGT “POGGIONERO” 2009.
    Produced from the variety Cabernet Sauvignon (25%), Merlot (25%), Sangiovese (40%) andAlicante (10%). Aged in oak barriques for 12 months, in the bottle for at least 6 months. It has an intense ruby red color and an aroma of red fruit and spices, well supported by balanced hints of vanilla. Is a wine of great structure and softness, with fine tannins and a long aftertaste. Alcohol 13,5% Vol. Perfect in combination with roasts, game and aged cheeses. To be served at 16-18°C.

    ROSSO TOSCANO IGT 2011.

    Produced from the varieties Sangiovese (70%) e Merlot (30%). aging in stainless steel tanks for 8 months in the bottle for at least 4 months. It has a ruby red color and a fruity aroma with floral and spicy notes. It has a fresh and elegant taste with a rich aftertaste, easy to drink. Alcohol 13% Vol. Perfect for pairing with cheeses, cold meats or poultry. To be served at 16-18°C.

    EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL 2012. Produced from the varieties Frantoio (70%), Moraiolo (15%), Leccino (10%) e Pendolino (5%), through mechanical harvesting. . Olives are processed in our mill within 24-30 hours from collection with cold extraction. Intense green color . Scent of freshly pressed olives oil with hints of artichoke and cardoon. Intense flavor with typical spicy notes. Can be combined with most of the dishes of the Italian cuisine. It goes perfectly with boiled potatoes, beans, salads and bruschetta with fresh tomatos.

    Toscana Resort Castelfalfi is also offering the flavoured meat of wild boars raised in the Estate’s reserve and 700 customized boxes, with surprise, containing the Cantucci della
    Fortuna, freshly made biscuits by the Chef Francesco Ferretti of restaurant “Il osmarino”.
