WEMW 2017 Awards
Credit: WEMWTRIESTE: Wishing on a Star, the new project by Peter Kerekes coproduced by Italy, Austria and Slovakia, won the CNC Development Award at the When East Meets West Co-production Forum. The 7th edition of WEMW took place from 22 to 24 January 2017 within the 28th Trieste Film Festival (20-29 January 2017).
The HBO Europe Award for the best documentary work in progress went to Serbia’s In Praise of Nothing by Boris Mitić, produced by Dribbling Pictures.
The Runners, directed by Łukasz Borowski and produced by Poland’s Wajda Studio, received the Flow Digital Cinema Award.

The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
