Polish and Bulgarian Films in the EFA Documentary Selection

    BERLIN: Documentaries from Poland and Bulgaria are among the 15 titles announced for the European Film Academy's Documentary Selection on 15 August 2017. The EFA awards ceremony will take place in Berlin on 9 December 2017.

    Ten documentary festivals, including Jihlava International Documentary FF and Krakow Film Festival, have recommended one film each, while a committee consisting of EFA Board members Roberto Cicutto (Italy), Vanessa Henneman (Netherlands) and Marek Rozenbaum (Israel), commissioning editor Sari Volanen (YLE, Finland) and documentary expert Paul Pauwels (European Documentary Network, Belgium) decided on the selection, also taking into account the submitted documentaries. EFA members will now vote to select five nominees.
