Projects from Czech Republic, Poland and Georgia Selected for Berlinale Co-Production Market 2018

    PRAGUE/WARSAW/TBILISI: Nobody Likes Me by Czech directors Tomas Weinreb and Petr Kazda, as well as Polish minority coproduction The War Has Ended by Hagar Ben Asher were selected for the Berlinale Co-Production Market (17-21 February 2018). The Empty House by Georgia’s Rati Tsiteladze was selected for the Talent Project Market.

    Nobody Likes Me, the second feature film by Tomas Weinreb and Petr Kazda after I, Olga Hepnarova, is a Czech/French coproduction between Black Balance and Arizona Production, The War Has Ended by Hagar Ben Asher is a German/Polish/Israeli coproduction between Match Factory Productions, Madants and Transfax, while The Empty House by Rati Tsiteladze is produced by Rati Tsiteladze through Georgia’s ArtWay Film.

    A total of 36 film projects were selected for the Berlinale Co-Production Market. Five high-profile production companies will be introduced in the exclusive Company Matching programme. More than 1,200 prescheduled one-on-one meetings with the producers of the selected projects from a total of 28 countries will take place.

    The main partners of the Berlinale Co-Production Market are MDM - Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung and the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
