Macedonian and Georgian Short Films Awarded at Sundance

    SKOPJE: Macedonian Would You Look at Her by Goran Stolevski and Georgia’s The Trader by Tamta Gabrichidze received two main prizes in the short competition of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival.

    Would You Look at Her, written and directed by Goran Stolevski, received the Short Film Jury Award: International Fiction. The film was produced by Black Cat Production in coproduction with Skopje Film Studio, and it was supported by the Macedonian Film Agency. Last year, the film won the Small Camera 300 award at the ICFF Manaki Brothers.

    The Trader / Sovdagari, directed and produced by Tamta Gabrichidze, received the Short Film Jury Award: Non-fiction. The Trader had its premiere at the Hot Docs Documentary Film Festival 2017, where it won best short documentary award, and it will be broadcast on Netflix starting 9 February 2018.
