The film, produced by Restart, looks at the lingering effects of the war between Croatia and Serbia, a quarter century later.

The award organised by Doc Alliance has been given out by seven key European documentary festivals, including the Jihlava IDFF, since 2008. This is the first time the award was presented at Cannes. A total of seven films were nominated for the award.

The director received a prize of 5,000 EUR as support for upcoming films.

Doc Alliance also presented a selection of five documentary projects in development and productions for the first time at Cannes FF.
