By Karolina Koltun

Warsaw (CentEast Daily News) -- As Polish director Dorota Kedzierzawska's Time to Die (Pora umierac) has a special screening in the Warsaw International Film Festival and enters the CentEast Market programme, she is busy preparing her next feature, Tomorrow Will Be Better.

Recently qualifying for state finance from the Polish Film Institue, the film depicts the story of three homeless young boys, who live at a train station in a nameless Russian town. They decide to sneak across the Polish boarder to find a new future with a home, a school and kind people around them.

Starring 92-year-old Danuta Szaflarska,Time to Die had its world première at the 2007 Toronto International Film Festival. Based on real-life events, it is the story of an elderly woman who fights for years to again become the mistress of her once beautiful, now somewhat dilapidated villa.

When it happens, her son tries - behind her back - to sell it to a wealthy neighbour, who wants to tear it down. Once again, probably for the last time in her life, she has to fight again. The film will enter Polish cinemas today (Oct. 19) as a Best Film release.
