By FNE Staff

Slovenia, Malta, and Croatia are poised to join Estonia and Latvia in completing the transfer to digital transmission by the end of December 2010 or January 2011, according to the European Commission's latest report from the European Audiovisual Observatory (http://www.obs.coe.int).

The report also states that DTT will be launched in all EU countries except Romania by the end of 2010. Pay DTT services are already available in the CEE and new EU territories Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, and Hungary. HD channels are available on DTT in Estonia and Lithuania.

The database includes information on all EU territories plus Croatia and Turkey.
