    The 6th VIVISECTfest - Festival on Human Rights takes place May 9 - 13, 2011 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Organized by the NGO Vojvodjanka since 2004, the festival is dedicated to human rights issues, accepting documentaries as well as animated and experimental films. Submission deadline: March 20, 2011.

    Authors and producers may apply the films for the film programme specifically dealing with the topic of Winning Freedom in 2011. This shall include the following genres: documentary, documentary-feature, activist, experimental, and animated. We shall accept the works in Digital BETA (Pal), mini DV, or DVD disk format.

    The Sixth Edition of VIVISECTfest with the topic Winning Freedom will through the documentary films and photography present the work of authors from different parts of the world with the aim of promoting human rights as legitimate instruments that efficiently protect dignity of human beings and basic human needs, regardless of gender, ethnic or social background, or religious or political affiliation.

    VIVISECTfest will for the sixth time in a row be organized in Novi Sad, and then in 12 towns of Serbia: Niš, Leskovac, Zaječar, Vranje, Subotica, Vrbas, Kikinda, Ruma, Sombor, Pančevo, Belgrade and Kragujevac. VIVISECTfest promotes cooperation and networking of NGOs, offices for the young, ombudsmen and cultural institutions in 13 towns of Serbia through the activities that promote respect for human rights and freedom.
