PRODUCTION: The Last Corrupted Man Begins Filming

BUCHAREST: Sergiu Nicolaescu is in production with The Last Corrupted Man, a sequel to Poker, the comedy that took the second spot in 2010 domestic box office in Romania with 24,234 admissions. The Last Corrupted Man/Ultimul corupt is produced by MediaPro Pictures (www.mediapropictures.com).

{mosimage}Adrian Lustig wrote the script. Viorel Sergovici is the DOP. The cast includes the main actors from Poker - Horaţiu Mălăele, Vladimir Găitan, Valentin Teodosiu, Cătălina Grama (Jojo), and George Mihăiţă. The story once again brings together corrupt senators, local highbinders, cosmetic surgeons, blond bombshells from Moldavia and secret service agents.

Shooting began on August 23 and will wrap after 26 days. The film is shot in location in and near Bucharest, and at MediaPro Studios (www.mediaprostudios.com). The project received a production grant of 370,000 euro from the National Centre for Cinema in 2010. The director plans a short post-production so the film can have its premiere as soon as possible, possibly this year, representatives of MediaPro Pictures told FNE.
