PRODUCTION: Second Season for Romanian In Treatment

    BUCHAREST: The second season of the series In Treatment/In derivă started shooting in Bucharest on 6 February 2012 with the premiere on HBO Romania (www.hbo.ro) set for the end on 2012.

    The first season premiered on 6 December 2010. "The audience response was very good and that's what made us decide to continue the series," said Carmen Harabagiu, Country Manager HBO Romania. Constantin Popescu (Tales from the Golden Age, Principles of Life) is directing most parts of the series, except for the first episodes, which he is co-directing together with Adrian Sitaru (Angling, Best Intentions). Adrian Silişteanu is the DOP. Sitaru and Adrian Silişteanu remain from the first season along with Marcel Iureş, who plays the central character, therapist Andrei Poenaru.

    The new season has 35 episodes (there were 45 in the first season) and is produced by Aurelian Nica and Gabriela Ceuţă from HBO Romania. Shooting is supervised by Antony Root, EVP Original Programming & Production HBO Central Europe (www.hbo-centraleurope.com) and by Wayne Henry, Consultant Production Executive HBO Central Europe. In Treatment/In derivă is a production of HBO Central Europe. HBO Romania is working with the Romanian production company Film Factor and producer Tino Furtună.

    In Treatment/In derivă is based on an original series Be Tipul created by Hagai Levi in Israel, and adapted in the USA, Romania, Poland and Czech Republic. The first season of the Romanian versionwas the first European series shot by HBO Central Europe.
