Polish Film Hel Wins at Golden Carpathian Pitching Forum

    BUCHAREST: Polish director Katarzyna Priwieziencew’s Hel has won the top prize for best pitch at the Golden Carpathian film market held in Bucharest.  Hel is an a feature film produced by Amondo Films (www.amondofilms.com) and is currently in postproduction.

    The project won the pitch forum prize of 7 000 EUR in competition with 19 projects.

    Three special mentions with a prize of 1000 EUR each were also awarded to Šahin Šišić’s Second Hand Life (The Netherlands), Ferenc Moldovanyi’s The Quiet American – Ron Holloway (Hungary) and Laith Al-Juneidi’s Sinless City (Palestine).

    The pitching forum was one of the highlights of the second edition of the Golden Carpathian (www.goldencarpathian.com) which is the first film market to be organised in Romania and attracted participants from 20 countries this year.  The event was held in Bucharest from 23 to 26 August 2012.
