PRODUCTION: To Paris, with the ID in Preproduction

BUCHAREST: Şerban Marinescu is in preproduction with To Paris, with the ID, a contemporary satire about the hopes of people who thought the fall of communism would be followed by fluid integration into Europe.

To Paris, with the ID (Doar cu buletinul, la Paris) is produced by Alexandru Iclozan through Casaro Film. The project received a production grant of 241,792 EUR (1,097,559 RON) from the National Centre for Cinema (www.cncinema.abt.ro) in 2010.

Shooting is planned exclusively on location, in Bucharest and around Bucharest, for 25-28 days. Shooting is due to start end of November 2012 and is expected to last until January 2013.

Denis Dinulescu wrote the script. Pătru Păunescu is the DOP. The confirmed cast includes Mircea Diaconu and Coca Bloos. The premiere is tentatively set for the end of 2013.
