Cristian Mungiu’s Beyond the HillsBUCHAREST: Romanian film critics and journalists named Cristian Mungiu’s Beyond the Hills/După dealuri (www.mobrafilms.ro) as the best Romanian film, best European film and best film in the Romanian cinemas in 2012.
The event organized by Asociaţia Film România concluded with a gala ceremony on 24 January 2013.
Şerban Pavlu was awarded best actor for Everybody in Our Family. and Cosmina Stratan (Beyond the Hills) was awarded best actress.
Other prizes went to the Romanian film with the most admissions in 2012, Of Snails and Men, distributed by Transilvania Film, and for the biggest hit in the Romanian cinemas last year, Ice Age 4: Continental Drift, distributed by Odeon Cineplex.
The Film New Europe (FNE) Association is the networking platform for film professionals in the CEE/SEE/Baltics region.
