First Romanian TV Format sold in Asia

    BUCHAREST: Miss Country Girl/Miss fata de la ţară, created and produced by Media Factory for the Romanian channel Prima TV, will be produced in Thailand in spring 2013. The 13 episodes of the first season are set to premiere on Channel 3.

    Miss Country Girl has been sold to Asia, Thailand is the first country where it will be produced. The American company Small World IFT is handling the sales, and the Small World IFT formats are represented in Asia by Bomanbridge Media based in Singapore.

    This format has been sold in almost 20 territories including USA, France, Russia and Australia. It was produced in Ukraine by the TV channel 1+1. Miss Country Girl is the first purely Romanian TV format aired on a foreign channel.

    Miss Country Girl, in its third season in Romania, follows the journey of eight country girls from cowgirls to cover girls. Eight celebrities are scouting in eight villages and each has 48 hours to find the most beautiful country girl during a contest with a series of challenges, from milking a cow to dancing. The eight girls then go to Bucharest and compete for a prize of 10,000 EUR.
