    BUCHAREST: With the opening of Cine Grand Botoşani which set up shop in Uvertura Mall in this northeastern Romanian city of 100,000 on 12 July, the company marks its first local multiplex.

    Having invested some 1.2 m EUR, the Cine Grand network intends to launch a further 100 screens in Romania in the next five years.

    The international company, which first opened screens in India and has launched a multiplex in Bulgaria, and plans to expand into the European and African territories. Cine Grand also uses the brands Grand Cinemas and My Cinemas. Amitabh Vardhan is its CEO.

    Cine Grand Botoşani has five screens and 446 seats, and equipped for digitally and 3D projection.
